ADRIANA MONICA ANDRIST 56, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2015 at Queen's Hospital. She was an avid participant in the Women's Chorus Group of Honolulu and the first Unitarian Church of Honolulu. Her law degree and PhD in Social and Judicial Science helped greatly in the campaign for the legalization of gay marriage in Hawaii. She leaves behind her only daughter, Alexandria "Ally" Andrist of Abu Dhabi; mother, Mercedes Gomez-Zeitter; sister, Fabiana Zeitter; two nieces and a nephew in Argentina. A memorial service is scheduled at 4:00 p.m., Sunday (February 1st) at the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu. Online condolences at www.oahu mortuary.com.
