David "Kaoru" Higa, 89, of Honolulu, a retired electrical technician for the Federal Aviation Administration and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Honolulu. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by daughters Liana H. Hanson and Kathy D.H. Ueoka, brothers Mamoru and Roy "Hide," and a grandchild. Visitation: 5 p.m. Monday at Diamond Head Mortuary.
