81Ruth Sands "Daisy" Oakland, 90, of Tomball, Texas, a former welder for the Navy minesweepers and a retired Hawaiian Telephone Co. operator, died in Tomball. 1She was born in Buckley, Wash. She is survived by three sons, a daughter, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. March 10 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha or casual attire. No flowers. Donations suggested to the Peanut Butter Ministry or any local animal rescue organization.
