GLADYS YOSHIKO KATO KONO Age 95, of Williamsport, PA, formerly of Waipahu, passed away on December 4, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Phyllis Maietta, with whom she resided. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 10, 1919 to Henry and Kunio (Miyamoto) Kato. She was married to Arthur K. Kono on October 18, 1942, who preceded her in death on December 10, 2002. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Robert of Oso, Washington; daughters, Phyllis (Rick) Maietta, Geraldine of Alpharetta, GA; daughter-in-law, Virginia Sue of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Maile (Josef) Kono-Wells of Austin, TX, Rebecca (Casey) Lachenmayer of Aston, PA, David Maietta of Ypsilanti, Ml and Joanne (Nathan) Morris of Perry, GA; great-grandchildren, Joules and Tesla Wells, Emma and Noah Lachenmayer, Natalie and Abigail Morris. Preceded in death, besides her husband, were son, Dennis, brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, and Richard, and sisters, Mildred Miura and June Anamizu. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Friday (Mar 6) at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel; memorial service 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow 11:30 a.m. at Mililani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
