74James Kailiawa, 68, of Pahala, Hawaii, a retired truck driver for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co., died at home. He was born in Pahala. He is survived by wife BerÂnaÂdette; sons Kimo and Kepano; daughters Kuuipo Dacalio and KehauÂlani and Zyrae J. Kailiawa; brother Alvin; sisters Beatrice and Annette Kailiawa, and Lillian "Momi" Soares; hanai brother Harold; and eight grandchildren.
