69Howard Jitsuo Mimaki, 83, of Hilo, a retired administrator from the state High Technology Development Corp., Hawaii island liaison officer for former Gov. George Ariyoshi, and insurance agent at Occidental Life Insurance Co., died in Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Nobuko "Gere," son Lane, daughter Mari Vermeer, brothers Calvin and Raymond, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, 398 Kilauea Ave. Services: 11 a.m. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
