Elugino Vazquez Alvarez Sr., 90, of Pahoa, Hawaii, an Army veteran and a retired ranch hand in Washington state, died in Yukio Okutsu Hawaii State Veterans Home. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He is survived by sons Elugino Jr., Fernando, Robin, Alan "Pancho," Dean, Wilbur and Wayne "Cody"; daughters Mildred "Midge," Patricia and Deborah Alvarez, Irene Flores, Vivian Buhl, Verna Chappell, Barcilia Ramirez, Darlene Marrero, Joanna Dima, Renee Abadilla and Caroline Lamellas; brother Fernando Vazquez; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
