Takeshi "Take" Kawamoto, 86, of Honolulu, a retired heavy duty mechanic for Okada Trucking Co. and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Lanai City. He is survived by son Ivan M., daughter Kristi M. Shiraki, brothers Tamotsu "Tamo" and Robert "Bob," and four grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Thursday at Diamond Head Mortuary.
