Van Masato Uemura, 60, of Hilo, an employee of S. Tokunaga Store in Hilo, died at home. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Jacquelyn “Jackie,†son Van Jr., daughter Sharay, sisters Sylvia Handy and Myra Bailey, and five grandchildren. Visitation: 2:30 p.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Service: 4 p.m. Casual attire.
