James K. "Kats" Matsumoto, 86, of Honolulu, a retired Department of Education employee and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Doris, son Drew, daughters Maude Tanaka and Hope Suzuki, brothers Light and Perry, and three grandchildren. Private services.
