Melvin Miles Pen- nington, 71, of Wahiawa, a retired security officer and a Navy veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Lopaka P.M., daughter Natalie M. Pennington-Young, parents Wesley H. and Madeline H., brothers Eddie P. and Kimo K., sister Madeline H. "Lani" Kalaukoa and two grandchildren. Services: 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 91-1298 Renton Road, Ewa Beach.
