79Ramon Masaaki “Ray†Tanaka, 71, of Kailua-Kona, a state Department of Education social worker, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Laverne, son Royce, daughter Janis Morita, brother Riccio, a grandchild and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 5:30 p.m. Aloha attire. No flowers. Celebration of life: 10:30 a.m. May 16 at the family’s residence in Kona.
