74Kiyoshi "Joe" Akamine, 84, of Kailua, a retired vegetable farmer and retired handyman for Strong Carter Dental Clinic, died in Kailua. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by sons Derrick K. and Mitchell H., daughter Josette L.M. Friedl, companion Goldie Castillo, sister Ayako Tomei and six grandchildren. Private services.
