Douglas Elia Akau, 77, of Kamuela, Hawaii, a warehouse foreman, truck driver and an Air Force veteran, died. He was born in North Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by daughter Alita-Ray Cookman; sons Logan E., Kinney K. and Douglas K.; hanai daughter Paula K. Holt; sister Janet Stevens; brothers Apitai Jr., Alexander and Andrew; hanai brother Joseph Huddy; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
