$nameBARBARA LUKE MOI YIM Barbara L.M. Yim, 94 of Kaneohe died June 2, 2015 at Pohai Nani Care Center. She was born February 17, 1921 in Honolulu. She is survived by her husband, Evans H.M. Yim, sons; Dr. Ernie (Brenda) M.S. Yim, MD, Dr. Paul (Janell) M.T. Yim, DDS, daughters; Dr. Gwyneth Y.L. Ching, DDS, Janis (Roland) Y.C. Chun (R) and Merle Y. Sen, Esq., 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Dorothy, Elizabeth, Debra and Diana. Barbara was the daughter of Ah Ki Young and Mew Shee Young. She had 7 brothers all deceased; Dr. Edwin Young, Owen, Kulvin, Albert, Errol, Philip and Henry Young. She was the only girl in a family of 8 children. Barbara loved Ballroom Dancing. She along with her husband was a member of Sugina Dance Academy, and the Pan Pacific and Hawaii Gardinia Circle dance clubs. She enjoyed golf and was a memrber of Pali Wahine's Golf Club. Barbara and Evans also stayed active as members of the Qi Center of Honolulu, Kaneohe and the Honolulu Club. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Church, Kaneohe and a member of Ana Malia. She belonged to the Kaneohe Business Group and Bow Yee Tong. Donations in her memory may be made to: Catholic Charities, 1822 Keeaumoku St., Honolulu, HI 96822. Visitation 9:30 to 11:00am June 20 at St. Ann's Church, 46-129 Haiku Road, Kaneohe. Celebration honoring her life begins at 11:00. Mass at11:15. Burial at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 3pm.
