ESTHER DEDE LO CHINN (9/22/25 - 5/17/15) Loving wife, mother and grandmother. Esther Lo Chinn was born in Honolulu to Tan and Louise Ho Lo. After graduating from Roosevelt High, she attended Mills College, the University of Michigan and graduated from the University of Hawaii. She trained at UCSF Medical School and became one of Hawaii's first cytotechno- logists. Her husband Elroy, an engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers, and twin sons, Bruce Lowell (Susan Grimes) and Brian Donald (Eleanor), predecease her. She is survived by sons Roy Alan (Jo Ann) and Jon Douglas (Julia), daughter Diane Joy (David Camp), and 11 grandchildren. Esther loved traveling, Chinese art, knitting, tennis, her friends at St. Peter's and especially her grandchildren. Services on June 23 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 1317 Queen Emma Street. 7:45 - 8:45 am visitation, 8:45 am funeral service. Burial at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at 10:30 am.
