FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Abigail Faith Vara
Abigail Faith Vara of Honolulu, Hawaii, August 23, 2001 to June 8, 2015. Abbie blazed into the world in Los Alamos, NM, before the doctor could arrive, giving her parents, Ray and Tiffany, the sweetest surprise of their lifetime, their first daughter. She joined four adoring big brothers, her princes: Chase, Kyle, RJ and Matt. They were her greatest love and most profound mission in this life. Moving to Hawaii with her family at eight months old, she spent blissful and adventurous days with her then-homeschooled brothers surrounding her. Her strength, perseverance, grit and grace were revealed in the years after she survived a brain injury at two and a half. She found a way to communicate her intelligence, her humor, her wishes and her dreams, usually by pushing those around her to be better, love deeper, and see differently. She was proud of being a teenager, loved being a student at Kaimuki Middle School, had an eclectic passion for music, and was deeply connected to her horse, Pualani, who she rode every Tuesday. She was simply a miraculous girl, from her first day on earth until the day she twirled her way into heaven, having raised her boys and prepared her parents for a spectacular life after her departure. The impact she made, wordlessly, on everyone fortunate enough to come into her orbit exceeds that of many who live for decades. We celebrate her freedom, and rejoice knowing she and Pu are together, her horse joining her two days after her passing. 1 Cor 13 -- Love always wins! Abbie is also survived by grandparents Thomas and Joyce Brown, aunts Tara (Brown) and Nate Clark, Lori Gola; uncles Kevin and Lori and Kurt and Denise Vara; and cousins Cooper and Oscar Clark; Crystal, Anthony and Connor Vara; Melissa Kirch, Steven Gola, Justin and Kayla Gatti.
