DR. CATHERINE M. KASAI Catherine M. Kasai was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 25, 1970. Dr. Catherine Kasai known to her friends as just "Cathy" passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Colorado State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Before becoming a specialist, she worked as a general practice veterinarian in Colorado and Hawaii. She completed a small animal medicine internship in Maitland, Florida and her 3-year residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Iowa State University in 2007. She worked at a specialty clinic in Hawthorne, California before moving home to fulfill her dreams of opening her own clinic in 2011. Cathy enjoyed the performing arts, cooking, traveling, and video games. She is survived by parents Collin and Florence Kasai and sister Karen (Brian) Kasai. Visitation 5:30 p.m., Friday (July 3) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Memorial service 6:30 p.m.
