Melvyn Mitsuo "Mel" Mukai, 69, of Honolulu, a retired Verizon telecommunications specialist and an Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Karen S., son Kevin R.H., daughters Tiffany J.M. and Kelsey L.M., and mother Evelyn M. Visitation: 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Waialae Country Club.
