71Gene Ichiro Mitsunami, 81, of Kamuela, Hawaii, a retired Hawaii Electric Light Co. diesel operator, died at home. He was born on Kauai. He is survived by wife Violet, son Blane, daughters Lynn Barbasa and Faye Mitsunami, sisters Florence Kawabata and Pearl Ota, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Kamuela Hongwanji Mission. Services: 11 a.m.
