Hideo "Dick" Ueno, 97, of Honolulu, a retired area coordinator at Pearl Harbor Public Works Center and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 100th Battalion, died in Ka Punawai Ola. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughter Shelley Hawkins; brothers Haruyuki, Yoshito and Gary Fuji-oka; and sister Gladys Ogata. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
