74Valerie Kalanikahua Kauhi-Jardine, 57, of Hilo, a retired Waiakea High School maintenance employee, died in Hilo Medical Center Extended Care Facility. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by hanai son J-Rowe Bennett, mother Adelaide Kauhi, sister Jodi Kauhi and a grandchild. Celebration of life: 5 p.m. Aug. 7 at Ballard Family Mortuary-Hilo. Aloha attire.
