This scholarship supported her in studying contemporary German government and lifestyles in both Munich and Berlin. India traveled extensively throughout Europe and upon retirement she and Clarence traveled throughout the South Pacific and to countries within West Africa. India's deep love for Hawai'i began in the late '60s through visits with long time family friends and eventually through visits with her children who studied at and graduated from UH-Manoa.
