75Robert J. Phillips Sr., 73, of Kula, Maui, a retired state Transportation Department supervisor, died. He was born on Maui. He is survived by sons Robert J. Jr. and Shawn; daughter Laurie Vares; brothers Paul, Larry and Anthony; sisters Alberta Souza, Judith Palmer, Clotilda Grindal, Mary Mohica, Joyce Soares and Catherine Latta; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
