She is survived by husband Thomas Kaaa; son Thomas Kaaa Jr.; daughters Pualei Saltiban, Kawai A. Kaaa and Shawna Rodrigues; parents Kazuto Yamaguchi and Gloria Purugganan; brother Derek Yamaguchi; sister Debra Hepner; and four grandchildren.
