Francis Shigemi Hirai, 89, of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu Zoo keeper and Army veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Hiram K.; sisters June Hirai, Margaret Tom and Eleanor Marquez; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire.
