73Maria Anna Friend, also known as "Sugar Granny," 93, of Pukalani, Maui, formerly of Oahu and Wahiawa, a homemaker, former Dutch Girl Pastry Shoppe cake decorator, and coffee shop and surplus store owner, died at home. She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany. She is survived by sons Joseph and Clarence A. Jr., daughters Frieda Soto and Roberta "Lani" Medeiros, eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. No services.
