Edward Joseph O'Shaughnessy, 93, of Honolulu, a medical doctor and an Army veteran, died in Arcadia Retirement Residence. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by son Edward J. Jr., daughters Kathleen Merkt and Mary Nelson, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation and services: 9 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Kaimuki. Burial: 11 a.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Casual attire. No flowers. Donations suggested to Arcadia Memorial Irrevocable Trust. Condolences: borthwickoahu.com.
