DON ADAMS Age 76, of Kaneohe, passed away quietly in his home on October 5th, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ione Adams, daughter Somerset, his three grandchildren, Derrek, Skyler and Sophie Buchanan of Walpole MA., and his brother, Royce Adams of Santa Barbara, CA. Born in St Louis, MI, Don moved to California during his college years to pursue an English Literature education. Upon graduation, he was drawn to Hawaii after listening to the "Hawaii Calls" radio broadcast. Buying a one-way ticket, Don fell in love with Hawaii and made it his permanent home. While here, he was drafted into the Army and stationed at Helemanu. Transitioning into the airline industry while working for Pan American Airlines, Don became Pacific Divisional Marketing Director. This led to a role as Vice President of Marketing for Hawaiian Airlines. The remainder of his professional career was spent with Massachusetts Mutual as an insurance agent and financial advisor. The Celebration of Don's life will be held at Atherton Chapel at Central Union Church on Tuesday, November 24th with Visitation from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Services will begin at 5:30 PM. No flowers, please.
