81Violet Mathilda Gomes, 83, of Honolulu died in St. Francis Hospice. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Howard Jr.; daughters Bernadine Asuncion, Brenda Kaahanui, Stacy Shigaki and Belinda Gomes; brothers Stanley, Douglas and James Castro; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
