74Andrew Arthur Akau Sr., 69, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retired Operating Engineers Local 3 employee, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Puukapu, Waimea, Hawaii. He is survived by companion Sandy Tabayunda; sons Andrew Akau Jr. and Walter and Richard Aniban and Tani and Randy Tabayunda; daughter Daida; brothers Apitai Jr. and Alex; sister Janet Stevens; and 11 grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Jan. 23 at Imiola Congregational Church. Services: 11 a.m. Committal services to follow at the church. Casual attire.
