Andres "Sonny" Nelson Jr., 82, of Honolulu, owner of Art Nelson Sailmaker Inc. and an Army veteran, died in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Gladys; sons Andres "Andy" and Corey K.; daughters Shirlene Cooke and Dustie Nelson; brothers Raymond, Kenneth, Thomas and James "Kimo"; and two grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at Star of the Sea Church. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Private burial. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to St. Francis Hospice or American Cancer Society Hawaii Chapter.
