HARUKO HELEN (TAKAHASHI) TANAKA February 5, 1926 July 22, 2015 As a child in depression-era Hawai'i our mother never dreamed of all the modern conveniences she would have as an adult. Little did she know she would travel from the hills of Kohala to Honolulu for work at the Hawaiian Telephone Company, have her own home and family in Aiea, and finally move to the hills of San Francisco and work for the State of California. All along she kept her love for handcrafts, fashion, the arts, entertainment and especially all animals.
