STEVEN M. UYEHARA Steven M. Uyehara, 83, passed away on January 26, 2016 at his home in Kalaheo, Hawai'i. Steve was born in Kahului, Maui on March 18, 1932. He graduated from Baldwin High School, served in the U.S. Army's 25th Infantry Division Signal Corps Photo Section in the Korean War, graduated from Northrop Institute of Technology with an Aeronautical Engineering degree, and retired from the U.S. Navy's Pacific Missile Range Facility Barking Sands as Aerial Targets Manager. Steve enjoyed his work and work colleagues and retired only a few years prior to his passing. He also loved to spend time with his friends and family. Steve is survived by wife Gladys, children Scot, Pamela, and Kimberly Uyehara, brother Alan Uyehara and wife Sylvia and sister Jane Yoshimura and husband Lester and their children and grandchildren, and hanai family Richard, Kathie, and grand- daughter Jackie Taylor. Private services will be held.
