JAMES ICHIRO WAKAFUJI Age 83, of Aiea, passed away on February 11, 2016. Born in Honolulu, he retired as a U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel. He served as Ho'opono Director of Blind Services and President of Lanakila Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Wakafuji is survived by his wife, Betty T. Wakafuji; son, James M. (Kim) Wakafuji; daughters, Karen Velador and Kelly K. (Kelly) Tobita; seven grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; sisters, Edith H. (Eiichi) Tanaka, Mildred M. Sasahara, Janet K. (Gerald) Kimura and Sharon K. Wakafuji. Visitation from 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary; service 3:00 p.m. No flowers. Casual attire.
