71Carol Jean Amaral, 69, of Naalehu, Hawaii, a cafeteria worker for Naalehu Elementary School and Kilauea Military Camp, a Pahala Elementary School educational assistant, and a Ka'u Family Health Center receptionist, died in Ka'u Hospital. She was born in Pahala, Hawaii. She is survived by daughters Paula Tailon and Tammy Kaapana; brother Robert Pestano; sisters Angeline Moniz, Aileen Mattos and Mary Louise Apo; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation: 7:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Naalehu. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Naalehu Community Cemetery. Casual attire.
