Torao Matsumoto, 95, of Hilo, a retired commercial fisherman and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, Company F, and the 232nd Engineer Combat Company during World War II, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Matsue; daughters Edna Yee, Donna Matsumoto and Jessica Hashimoto; brother Sueo; sister Kazue; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
