78Fujie "Fudge" Takayama, 89, of Hilo, a retired claims representative for the U.S. Social Security Administration, died in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by sons Leslie, Brian and Clyde; daughter Dawn Esser; brother Herbert Kushi; sister Sadako Baker; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 2:30 p.m. March 19 at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
