HUNTLEY JERRY C. ILO, SR. 74 of Huntley, Illinois passed away on Tuesday morning, March 29, 2016. He was born April 5, 1941 in Paauilo, Hawaii the son of Teodoro L. and Maria (Eblacas) Ilo. During high school he was extremely active in the Civil Air Patrol and formed lifelong friendships. He later served in the United States Army. On January 2, 1968 he was united in marriage to Ruth E. Mutchler, the couple made their home in Makaha, Hawaii where they raised their family. Jerry was a carpenter by trade and worked for over 30 years in home construction. Family was first in his life, he was very hard working, a good provider, loved fishing, hunting, sky diving and golf and was known for his sense of humor and infectious laugh. In 2003 the couple moved to Huntley. He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Huntley, his son, Jerry (Jenn) Ilo Jr., of Mililani, Hawaii, his daughters, Liana Vossen of Kapolei, Hawaii and Lisa (Dave) Murray of Huntley, Illinois, his grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, Alyssa, Michael, Erica, Mackenzie, Caitlin, Margaret & J.D., his great-grandchildren, William, Everett & Oliver, his brother, Teodoro (Kim) Ilo of Makaha and his sister, Dolores Espiritu of Kalihi, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirleen Maneja. Private family services will be held at a later date in Hawaii.
