75Melvin Castaneda, 71, of Hana, Maui, a retired Hawaiian Dredging Co. superintendent and retired Kahului Airport security guard, died in Hilo. He was born in Kapulena, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Keith K. and Craig, daughters Michele Castaneda and Jennifer Gleason, hanai daughters Makamae Smith and Christine Kaniho, brothers Larry and Michael, 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Celebration of life to be held at a later date.
