William August Schauer Jr., 91, of Honolulu, a retired Air Force colonel and pilot, died at home. He was born in Hayden, Ariz. He is survived by wife Kathleen "Kitty," son David, stepdaughters Cathleen O'Brien and Nancy Strahl, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Inurnment: 3 p.m. June 9 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Scattering of ashes at Kaena Point at a later date. Aloha attire. No flowers. Condolences: borthwickoahu.com.
