77Demetrio Magno Gambalan, 96, of Kapaau, Hawaii, a retired Kohala Sugar laborer and a "Fabulous Five" member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Hawi, died at home. He was born in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He is survived by wife Emily, daughters Margaret Hoshida and Debbie Ellazar, sister Feliza Batara, 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. June 25 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Hawi. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Halawa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire.
