James Oliver Walters, 77, of Ewa Beach, a retired Grace Pacific operator engineer and a Navy veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Alabama. He is survived by sons Gene and Kevin Costa, and Vernon Walters; daughters Leila Villarreal and Winona Souza; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. June 29 at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, makai chapel. Services: 7 p.m. Inurnment: 10:30 a.m. June 30 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
