81Miyoko Shimizu Bethel, 91, of Honolulu, an artist and teacher of suiboku, Japanese brush painting, in Kyoto, died in Waianae. She was born in Oakland, Calif. She is survived by son Paul, daughter Diana, brother Kazuhiko Shimizu, sister Mary K. Kawata, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services.
