July 20, 2016 Dennis Xavier Hualani Aloiau Chai, 73, of Kaneohe, a teacher and an Army veteran, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Alvina Lopez; son Kumuhone Stone; daughters Aulii Hirayama, Lani Kaaa, Puna Na'auao, Courtney Chai and Jayme Ide; brothers Paul Chai Jr. and Larry, Matthew and Bernard "Kealii" Ceballos; sisters Bernadette "Sister" Moleta and Ella L. Brooks; and seven grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Aug. 2 at St. Ann's Church, 46-129 Haiku Road, Kaneohe. Services at noon. Mass: 12:45 p.m. A veteran salute and inurnment: 2 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park/Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha attire. Leis welcome. No flowers.
