78Chieko Shimizu, 94, of Mililani, a Kauai Surf Hotel retiree, died in Ewa Beach. She was born in Kealia, Kauai. She is survived by son Ronald, daughters Lorna Taroc and Carol Kamiya, sister Laura H. Hirokawa, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Private services.
