81Roy Kaoru Shimizu, 94, of Keaau, Hawaii, a retired Puna Sugar crane operator and welder, died in Life Care Center of Hilo. He was born in Mountain View, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Toshie; sons Rex and Keith; daughter Lynn Koshiyama; brothers Tommy, Iwao and Masato; sisters Harue Chang and Edith Booth; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Sept. 3 at Dodo Mortuary-Hilo. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire.
