Luzviminda Viernes Palilio, 76, of Hilo, a Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. factory worker in Keaau, died in Hospice of Hilo, Pohai Malama Facility. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by husband Modesto; sons Rodolfo V., Noel V., Ronel V. and Kenneth V.; brothers Sebero Viernes and Teodocia Colobong; sisters Constancia Calimlim, Pacita Pataueg, Rosalina Cabal, Primie V. Ribao and Maria V. Respicio; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 5 p.m. Sept. 2 at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 7 p.m. All-night vigil: 9 p.m. at the family residence, 35 Ahona Place, Hilo. Additional visitation: 8 a.m. Sept. 3 at First Born Temple, 181 Oio St., Hilo. Services: 9 a.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcome. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park.
