$nameSIDNEY HASHIMOTO Aug. 17, 2016 80, of Kona, a Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard shipfitter and an Army veteran, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in South Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Sidney, Eugene (Debbie) and Nathan (Lei); daughters Laurie Ann (Tony) Martin, Dora (Richard) Largo and Adrienne (Curtis) Chee; brothers Simeon, Chris (Virgina) and Arnold; sister Lorraine (Albert) Medeiros; Other Family Members: Rosalie Hashimoto; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m., Friday, Sept. 9 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Honaunau. Mass: 9 a.m. Burial at Noon at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery, Kailua-Kona. Casual attire. Flowers welcome. Celebration of Life gathering to follow at 86-4313 Mamalahoa Hwy, Captain Cook, Kona, HI 96704. All welcome.
