FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

WALTER C. J. PANG
WALTER C. J. PANG Walter Chong Jock Pang, 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Aug 26, 2016. Born and raised in Honolulu, he served in the U.S. Army before graduating from UH-Manoa. He worked in insurance and real estate sales, as a stockbroker, and in investments. An avid golfer and longtime member of the Mid-Pacific Country Club, Walter was a UH sports fan and watched many sports in person and on TV. He kept up with current events and the financial markets through the newspaper, magazines, TV and the Internet. A president and active board member of the Ling Hou Hing Pang Society, he enjoyed spending time and traveling with his family. Remembered as cheerful and for welcoming family and friends into his home. We will miss his bright and warm smile. Walter is survived by his wife Carol, sons Jayson (Leslie) and Clesson and daughters Colleen Pang-Wong (Max Yoshikawa) and Jeaneen Baggett (David), brother Herbert, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Nuuanu Mortuary on Sunday, Sept 18. Visitation at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. (no flowers, no monetary offerings please). Private burial at Punchbowl.
